Jack Croco first started in the grocery business in Boise, Idaho in the (1940) 70 years ago working for Albertson's.
By (1950) 60 years ago, he was responsible for opening the first Albertson's stores in the Seattle.
In (1956) 54 years ago, He opened his own grocery store in Bellevue which was called Lake Hills Thriftway.
47 years after in (1963) it took the name QFC.
QFC took over several locations.
QFC, promised to spend at least $1 million a year for the next eight years for Seattle Public Schools.
QFC and Safeway are the dominant supermarkets in the city of Seattle.
