it was found by William J. Riley, he was 33 English man.

It was shoes at first.

He came up with the name, "New Balance" by observing chickens in his yard and demonstrated the way his arch supports worked by keeping a chicken foot on his office desk to demonstrate.

83 years ago (1927) Riley hired Arthur Hall to be the salesman and in 1934 he became the business partner.

In 1956, Hall sold the business to his daughter Eleanor and her husband Paul Kidd.

They sold the same brand up to 1960.

Then they found "Trackster", the world's first running shoe.

They were also aailable at YMCA.

They became known at Tufts University and Boston University.

People used the shoes at cross-country and all high schools around the world.

In 1972 Jim Davis bought the company.

At that time there were only 6 people making the shoes.

Today 30% of the brand shoes sale in Europeanmarket.
