It is made by a big company called the Dayton Dry Goods Company.

The company have stores all over U.S but not one state, Vermont. They will open one at May 2010.

Target is the second store who people like after Walmart.

There is also Target at Australia too.

The owner was Reuben Simon Goodfellow but he sold the company to George Dayton.

In 1956 they opened stores at the south and they called it retail chain.

It have about 351,000 (2009) Employees.

It have clothing, housewares, food.

The headquarters are Minneapolis and Minnesota.
